RETURNS & EXCHANGES

At Black Buck Overland, we want you to be confident in your gear before your next trail day. Please review the policy below before starting a return.

30-Day Trail-Ready Guarantee

We accept returns or exchanges within 30 days of delivery on eligible items, provided the product is:

  • Unused and uninstalled

  • Unopened (when applicable)

  • In original packaging with all tags, manuals, and included hardware

Important: If an item has been mounted, installed, test-fit, or shows any signs of use (bolt marks, trail dust, scratches, wiring marks, etc.), it is not eligible for return.

Condition Standards (The “No-Mud” Rule)

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition you received it. If there are signs of installation, test fitting, or wear, we cannot accept the return.

Electrical / Electronics Policy

Electrical components are often not resellable once opened. For that reason:

  • Electrical items (light bars, wiring harnesses, controllers, tuners, etc.) are non-returnable once opened or removed from their original sealed packaging.

  • Unopened, sealed electrical products may be eligible for return within 30 days (unless otherwise noted on the product page).

Final Sale / Clearance Items

Items marked as Final Sale, Clearance, or Garage Sale are not eligible for return or exchange.

Damaged or Missing Items

If your order arrives damaged or missing parts, please report it within 48 hours of delivery so we can file a carrier claim and get you taken care of quickly.

Restocking & Freight Fees

Most standard items can be returned for a refund (minus shipping). However, due to the cost of handling oversized gear:

  • Large or freight-shipped items (including bumpers, rock sliders, skid plates, roof racks, tire carriers, and other oversized items) are subject to a 15% restocking fee.

  • Return shipping and any return freight costs are the customer’s responsibility and can be expensive.

If you’re not 100% sure on fitment for a heavy item, reach out before ordering. We’ll help verify specs so you don’t get hit with return freight costs.

Return Shipping Options

You have two options for return shipping:

  1. Use our pre-paid return label: We can provide a return shipping label for your convenience. The cost of the label will be deducted from your final refund.

  2. Ship it yourself: You may ship the item back using your preferred carrier. You are responsible for all shipping costs and ensuring proper packaging.

Refund Timing & Method

Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll email you with approval or rejection.

  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable

  • Approved refunds are typically processed within 5–7 business days after inspection is complete and issued to the original payment method or as store credit

  • Please note: depending on your financial institution, it may take an additional 3–5 business days for the credit to appear on your statement

Rejected Returns (Items Sent Back in Unacceptable Condition)

Items returned that do not meet our condition standards may be rejected. Rejected items will be held for 14 days. During this time, the customer may choose to have the item shipped back at the customer’s expense. After 14 days, unclaimed rejected items may be disposed of or donated.

International Orders

International customers are responsible for all duties, taxes, and import fees. These charges are non-refundable.
