SHIPPING & LOGISTICS
At Black Buck Overland, we know you want your gear yesterday. While we haven’t perfected teleportation just yet, we work with trusted logistics partners to get your rig trail-ready as quickly as possible.
1) Processing vs. Transit Time
There are two parts to getting gear to your door:
Processing: This is the “paperwork” phase. Most orders are processed within 24–48 hours (Monday–Friday), excluding holidays and high-volume sale periods.
Transit: This is the “vroom vroom” phase. Once the carrier has your package, delivery speed depends on the method you chose and how far you live from the shipping location.
Important: All delivery timelines are estimates and may be impacted by weather, carrier delays, or peak-season volume.
Note: If you order on a Sunday night, our team (and the warehouse crew) are likely still recovering from a weekend on the trails. We’ll get to it first thing Monday.
2) The “Box Mystery” (Split Shipments)
We source gear from multiple specialized warehouses to ensure you get the best parts. Because of this, your order may arrive in multiple boxes on different days.
Don’t panic if your winch shows up but your bumper is still “in flight”—it just means they’re coming from different corners of the country.
You may receive multiple tracking numbers as items ship from different warehouses.
3) The Heavy Stuff (Freight Shipping)
If you’ve ordered something massive—like a bumper, roll cage, or a full set of skid plates—it’s going to arrive via freight.
Phone Number Required: The carrier will call you to schedule a delivery window. If you don’t answer, they can’t deliver.
Signature Required: Someone needs to be there to sign for delivery.
Inspection Required: Inspect the pallet/crate before you sign.
-
If there is visible damage, do not sign “received in good condition.”
-
Note all damage on the delivery receipt and take photos of the pallet/crate and product.
-
If the shipment looks severely damaged, you may refuse delivery and contact us immediately.
4) P.O. Boxes
Most of our gear is too big for a P.O. Box, so we cannot ship most orders to P.O. Boxes. Please use a physical address where a delivery driver can drop off packages.
5) Address Accuracy
Double-check your digits. We ship to the address you provide. If you accidentally send your new suspension kit to your ex-girlfriend’s house, we aren’t responsible for the recovery mission.
Any fees for address corrections, re-delivery, or return-to-sender due to an incorrect/incomplete address will be billed to the customer.
6) Order Changes & Cancellations
Need to change an address or cancel? Contact us ASAP.
Order changes/cancellations must be requested before shipment. Once an order has shipped, it cannot be canceled and must follow our Return Policy.
7) Lost, Stolen, or “Ghost” Packages
If tracking shows “Delivered,” responsibility transfers to the customer. That said, we’ll help you open a carrier investigation when possible.
Black Buck Overland is not responsible for theft after delivery (“porch piracy”). If you’re concerned, we recommend shipping to a secure location or business address.
8) The 48-Hour Inspection Rule
As soon as your gear arrives, open it and inspect it.
If something is missing or damaged, you have 48 hours from delivery to notify us. After that, carriers tend to deny claims, and we may be unable to assist with replacements or reimbursement.
